OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN

Outdoor warning siren testing will be conducted on the first Wednesday of the each month unless inclement weather is forecast for that day.  The warning siren will be activated for severe weather in daylight hours only warning citizens who happen to be outside during the storm.  During stormy weather please keep your weather radio at hand for updated information since the warning siren is not designed to be heard indoors.  Royse City storm spotters are in constant contact with the county but remember if you are indoors, shelter in place away from windows in an interior hallway.  Please keep in mind that testing of the warning siren is very important for the use and maintenance of the system.
