Tentative Starting Pay Effective October 1, 2007: $45,113 - $46,313 (for TCLEOSE certified applicants) Lateral Transferring Officer Salary $48,886 - $50,086
All applicants must possess:
- A valid Peace Officer license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).
- A valid Texas driver's license.
- 21 years of age.
An extensive background statement must be completed by each applicant. To qualify, an applicant must pass a background investigation, a physical examination, oral interviews and a piece of the job test.
